Benjamin Maneyrol (France) is born in the french Alps. Very young, he started his musical studies and showed interest for clarinet.
After graduating at Conservatoire de Chambéry, he feels a strong attraction toward contemporary music, and decided to move to Paris in order to enter Alain Damiens class.
During this period, he discovered the modern repertoire and explored many differents new styles and techniques..
Willing also to perfect his practice of classical music, he studied with Florent Héau and Romain Guyot. He then entered Ronald Van Spaendonck class at Royal Conservatory of Brussels, where he obtained a specialize master in clarinet magna cum laude in 2011.
He finished his studies by doing a post graduate in performance of contemporary music with ensembles ICTUS and Spectra in Ghent Royal Conservatory.
Benjamin has received the advices of grand soloists such as : Ernesto Molinari, Michel Portal, David Krakauer, Paul Meyer, Jacques Di Donato...
Interested to be intimate with new music, he has worked with many composers amongst them : Georg Friedrich Haas, Mark Andre, Claude Ledoux, Yann Robin, Heinz Holliger, Philippe Manoury.
He is also supporting the young composers, creating new pieces and collaborating with them on new creations.
Active mostly in Europe, he has been playing in festival Acanthes and festival EVV (France), 48th International Musikferienkurse Darmstadt(Germany), festival Impuls 15 and 17 , ISA 14 and ISA 16 (Austria), 15th festival Afekt (Estonia), festival Muscia Privata 5 (Poland), festival LOOP 8 (Belgium) but also in venues such as : Auditorium de Lyon, Opéra de Lille and Arsenal de Metz (France), Bozar, Desingel, Miryzaal and Gent Opera (Belgium), Centro Cultural do Belem (Portugal), Schoenberg Center (Austria).....
Benjamin also played with several orchestras and ensemble, working with conductors as Peter Rundel, Ludovic Morlot, Bas Wiegers, Carlo Tenan, Georges-Elie Octors...
He's also passionate since a long time by transmission and thus he's involved in the foundation of a new private school in Brussels (Ideam asbl) as artistic director.
