Ensemble Fractales – collaboration with the Composition Class at the Koninklijk Conservatorium Brussel

Ensemble Fractales will conduct a workshop with the composition class by Annelies Van Parys at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels (KCB), as part of its collaboration with LENsemble Vilnius (Lithuania). Composer Vykintas Baltakas will join Ensemble Fractales in this process and will be invited to Belgium to lead workshops with composition students at the Brussels conservatories.

This educational and creative process will contribute to the preparation of the concert at Flagey in February 2027, where the project will bring together works by established and emerging composers from Belgium and Lithuania. By integrating the students’ perspectives and creative voices into the wider artistic framework, the initiative seeks to establish a meaningful connection between artistic education and professional practice, while fostering the emergence of a new generation of composers.

At the heart of this collaboration lies a shared commitment…
